Goldenstar's Past as a Loner of Twolegplace « Thread Started on Mar 13, 2008, 4:17pm »
((This was before she came to the forest. ))
Golden jumped down from the fence, its sharp points digging into her pelt. It was the time of snow and coldness and the world was dark and bleak. She was a loner, not a twoleg pet, and she never wanted to be. She had grown up a loner and it was the life she knew. Golden thought there were two kinds of lives, kittypet or loner. The sharp wind ruffled her fur and she went behind a bush in some housefolk's garden for some shelter. She lay her head on her paws hoping that right then the endless season would stop if she closed her eyes. But of course it did not work. Hunger gnawed at her belly and she clenched her teeth in pain. She was lonely, and knew nothing of the life that awaited her in the forest. Her life had been like a maze, twisting paths, still unfinished. Golden had faced rats, dogs, and twolegs. But her experiences made her brave and fierce. Sometimes her hard life had driven her to look like a dangerous, hideous cat. But she had a soft spot though many did not know. She did not appear like the cat she truly was, courageous, strong, and, yes, fierce, but to protect the ones worthy. Of course she had her flaws like every cat but to kittypets she had to many to even speak of. Golden was thoughtful but could overthink some things. Little did anyone know, including her, of the new path she would soon walk. The life of a forest cat.
